Margaret Kilgo Workshops
Margaret Kilgo presents a research-based overview of the
relationship between the state curriculum, the Texas Essential Knowledge and
Skills (TEKS) and Student Expectations (SES), and the Texas Assessment of
Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) in Reading, Mathematics, Science, and Social
Studies, Grades K-12. Kilgo covers the components that are
critical for effectively teaching and assessing the TEKS/SEs to the depth and
complexity of the TAKS. The focus of these sessions is on teaching and assessing
the curriculum, not on teaching to the test.
